L'Avant Comptoir
In the "Rive Gauche" (litterally translated as "Left Bank" of the Seine) are the tiny L'Avant Comptoir de la Terre, l'Avant Comptoir de la Mer and l'Avant comptoir du Marché. These casual wine bars serve good food and a so-delicious slab of butter with bread. Except from L'avant comptoir du Marché, the other spots are so tiny they can quickly be packed so be prepared to wait (or come early) but it is worth the shot !

3 top wine bars in Paris : The Septime Cave, our favourite
This busy and also tiny wine cave and bar is our favourite. The waiters are nice and they will give you great advice according to your taste. The wine is natural and fantastic and you may bump into French chefs on their day off looking for a nice bottle of wine. The atmosphere is international and friendly, you will almost always talk to your neighbour !

With just a few tables and giant wine barrels, this wine bar is located in a neighborhood you may never discover on your own. Very popular, only known by locals, you will sip on a glass in an eclectic atmosphere and notice peope bringing their own empty bottle to refill their "take home" favourite wine. We also love this place because it is what we called a bar "populaire" (=popular) : it is a real melting pot, every social class comes and mingle in a very friendly atmosphere ! Highly recommended !
