A self-guided treasure hunt in Paris for mystery lovers!

For those who aren’t easily scared, who dare to wander among the graves, or who decide at midnight what they’re doing the next day, here’s a new idea for you: a haunted treasure hunt at Père Lachaise Cemetery, now available to download!

For just €25 per game booklet (ideal for a group of up to 6 brave souls), dive into a paranormal investigation and explore Père Lachaise at your own pace.

No booking required: pay, download your booklet and set off whenever the mood – or the courage – strikes, even just an hour beforehand. Please note that your download remains available for 30 days.

We love meeting our players in person, but for this one, you’re on your own – far too scary, even for us! So grab your lucky charms and summon up your courage... The ghosts are waiting for you.

👻 Unlike our in-person treasure hunts, there won’t be a physical clue kit with objects to handle. But we’ve done our very best to create puzzles that are just as challenging and fun as those in our game booklets with physical tools.

This is our first downloadable game. After chatting with many of you, we realised that this kind of self-guided format already existed and could work really well. So this is our first one – and we can’t wait to hear what you think!

Your mission: find out who is terrifying the guards and visitors of Père Lachaise Cemetery

For the past few days, no one has dared to enter the cemetery.

The guards, who have no choice but to work here, are frightened. They have the disturbing feeling that they are being followed by a strange, invisible force that makes them extremely uneasy.

They have called in a medium to try to get to the bottom of it. Unfortunately, her explanations are anything but clear...

Now they need your help to shed some light on this dark mystery.

The graves you'll discover along the way

Among the haunted graves on your route, you’ll visit those of Édith Piaf and Jim Morrison, two musical icons whose spirits may not have entirely left Père Lachaise behind.

You’ll also encounter Oscar Wilde, Gérard de Nerval and Honoré de Balzac, great literary figures from another era.

But things are about to get darker...

You’ll venture close to more unsettling graves linked to vampires and mysterious figures who were already familiar with the supernatural during their lifetime. Magicians, fortune tellers and people said to have communicated with the dead...

Plenty to send a shiver down your spine as you investigate.

And be careful where you put your hands and feet along the way: some places may still be cursed or bewitched...

Who is this Père Lachaise treasure hunt for?

👨‍👩‍👧 Families: an original family activity in Paris combining culture, puzzles and a few chills along the way.

🎉 Friends or couples: an unusual Paris experience for anyone who enjoys being spooked or simply wants to discover Père Lachaise in a completely different way.

🟠 Difficulty level: moderate to difficult → the puzzles require observation and logic but remain accessible.

✅ FAQ – Downloadable Père Lachaise Treasure Hunt

  • What is the difference between a downloadable treasure hunt and an in-person treasure hunt with a host?

The basic concept is the same: you follow a route designed as an investigation, solving puzzles, observing your surroundings and working your way through a real storyline.

The difference is in the format:

  • With the downloadable version, you receive the game booklet only and play entirely independently.

  • With an in-person treasure hunt, the game includes additional materials – several envelopes, objects and other items to handle – as well as a host.

👉 The downloadable game booklet is designed in the same way as the booklets used for our in-person games: the same game mechanics, the same quality standards and the same care goes into creating the puzzles. Only the materials and assistance provided are different.

  • How does the downloadable treasure hunt work?

After purchasing the game, you download a PDF game booklet containing all the puzzles and instructions you need to play.

One game booklet is intended for one group, and you complete the entire treasure hunt independently, without a host.

  • Do I need to print the game booklet?

It’s entirely up to you. You can play:

  • with a printed copy of the booklet;

  • or directly from a tablet or smartphone.

The important thing is simply to make sure that everyone in your group can see the puzzles clearly.

  • Do I need a guide, an app or an internet connection?

No. The treasure hunt can be played without a guide, without an app and without an internet connection.

If you need help during the game, you can contact us on:

📞 +33 6 30 11 57 16

It’s the same number shown on our website.

  • How difficult is the Père Lachaise treasure hunt?

  • Difficulty level: moderate to difficult. This route requires a little more observation and thought. The puzzles are based on your surroundings, small details and information that you’ll need to find on location.

  • 👉 It’s particularly well suited to players who enjoy taking their time, thinking things through and tackling slightly more challenging puzzles.

  • How long does the treasure hunt take?

On average, allow around 2 hours 30 minutes, depending on your pace and how much time you spend solving the puzzles.

  • Can we play if it's raining?

Rain + ghosts... well, hats off to you! 🎩 You really are brave.

More seriously, it’s entirely up to you. As this is a downloadable game, you’re free to choose whichever day and time suits you best.

Just bear in mind that, apart from the trees, there aren’t many places to shelter inside Père Lachaise Cemetery.
