Winter sales in Paris

During Winter sales in Paris : Be Patient

First of all, if you want to make the Sales as pleasant and enjoyable as possible, you need to be patient. You won’t be able to wander freely in the boutiques and try out right away… It can be a good idea to anticipate and have a first look on what you have your eyes on before the sales begin.

Choose where you are shopping

Then, choose the places you are interested in. Paris has so many places that even a shopaholic can have a hard time to pick up THE RIGHT area.

Here are 3 of the best areas in Paris to shop :

Grands Magasins

From common brands such as Zara to luxury goods, you will find everything you need to buy in these legendary department stores. Take a break on Galeries Lafayette rooftop and enjoy a breathtaking view before going back to the insane discounts inside ! However, you need to know that with their reputation and notoriety, they will be packed, you need to be prepared ! (Of course, you can go on the Internet and set up a delivery at the shop, but it won’t be the same experience 😉 ).

Les Grands Magasins, boulevard Haussmann : métros Havre Caumartin, Chaussée d’Antin-Lafayette, Opéra, Saint-Lazare

La Samaritaine and Le bon Marché

Both located in the most iconic areas in Paris, these two department stores offer a very sharp selection of top notch and luxury brands. We would not bet on a 70% discount here. But the visit is worth the shot ! Le Bon marché was the first department store built in Paris in 1852. His competitor, La Samaritaine, reopened a few years ago and is now also famous for its amazing architecture next to the Louvre.

Le Bon Marché : Métro Sèvres

La Samaritaine : métro Louvre Rivoli

Rue de la Méditerranée: our “made in France” brands with outlet prices

This area is our « concierge » tip ! Located in the east side of Paris, next to the Canal Saint Martin, you will enjoy french brands surch as Maje, Claudie Pierlot, Les Petites, APC and Agnès B. This boutiques are already outlets, imagine when you have sales there ! You will get carried away !

Rue de Marseille - Paris 10, métro République ou Jacques Bonsergent

The right time

And last but least, try to avoid the first day (usually a Wednesday) and Saturdays. And during weekdays, it is better to do your shooping during parisian office hours. If you can avoid lunchtime (12PM-2 PM) and after 5PM, i twill be more pleasant.

Now you are all set, we hope you will enjoy Winter sales. The best deals are around the corner 😉
